Therapeutic interventions tailored to your needs.

  • I believe in the therapeutic power of play. Play therapy is rooted in the idea that play is the language and work of a child. Through play, children work out their problems, process feelings and create new opportunities and possibilities for healing. As a play therapist, I believe that children can process their big feelings and learn to regulate themselves when they feel safe. With my support in the playroom, children learn to approach emotions, feelings, thoughts and triggers in an empowered, approachable way. Kiddos leave the playroom with more confidence in themselves and an increased ability to self-regulate and be effective in relationships.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is rooted in mindfulness and balance and teaches clients skills of living in the moment, regulating their emotions, being more effective in relationships, and tolerating distress or situations that they are unable to change. DBT helps you explore the ways all things are interconnected, and how opposites in life can often help you approach greater truth.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is based on mindfulness and helps clients align with their values to make changes in their lives. ACT encourages psychological flexibility and helps you take a look at your thoughts to evaluate how they are serving you. Working with memories, thoughts, feelings and physical situations that you’ve perhaps avoided, ACT enhances your clarity and helps you identify behavior changes that fit what’s important to you.

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) helps clients examine their thoughts, feelings, and behavior and identify solutions and coping strategies. A highly researched and evidence-based treatment, CBT is helpful in treating depression, anxiety, eating disorders, ADHD, and more. In fact, CBT tends to work better than other forms of talk therapy in treating ADHD. Gaining a better understanding of behavior and developing coping strategies helps clients reduce their symptoms and become more effective in their lives.
