A Collaborative Approach

Life lately has been tough for everyone, especially our kiddos.

Getting going with counseling is easy—I meet with parents to develop a plan for helping address your child’s concerns, and then get going in therapy to help your child develop their self-confidence, increase their ability to regulate emotions, and be more effective in their relationships. I’ll check in with you regularly to track progress and ensure your child is progressing in their goals.

Let’s do this!

What parents and clients have to say…

“Kristen was a great help with my son, he looked forward to going to counseling weekly to meet with her. She was such a great help and very resourceful whenever there was an issue or trying to figure things out. Being in this field you got to have passion and Kristen definitely has passion for what she do”

— Sheena, parent

“We have really appreciated the counseling Kristen has given our daughter. Her warmth and genuine concern created an environment that allowed our daughter to express herself and her concerns. In addition to helping our daughter, Kristen has given us the tools to talk with her and help her with challenges that arise. We have and will continue to recommend Kristen.”

— Parents of a teenage client

“My therapist was Kristen Barlow. She was really a great therapist for me, someone who I was able to open up to and felt safe and confident to talk to her about what’s going on in my life. After the first few times of meeting with her I felt really comfortable and happy to talk to her about what’s going on in my life and to talk about future plans and how I’m feeling emotionally and physically. We would do charts and have tasks to complete every week to help me distract myself and do more productive things and things that will make me have a healthier mindset in my life. Kristen honestly changed my life, she helped me open up, be less shy and more outgoing. I would definitely recommend her as a therapist, she is amazing and really a life changer!”

—Edgar, teenager

“Kristen was really helpful and welcoming and kind. Kristen helped me change so much! She reminded me I wasn’t alone and could reach out for help. I felt really relieved…”
